Happy Friday! This week went so quickly! We had a snow day on Tuesday and then my older son had no school Thursday or today. Plus, my younger son’s Birthday is on Sunday, so my older son and I went and dropped cupcakes at school this afternoon. Fun! Since I am back to full pick up and drop off duty with Mr Danger starting his new job, I did not mind having a few less drop offs and picks ups this week! Here are some highlights from the week:
- I like to pick a theme each year to focus on. I probably could have shared this earlier, but this is my theme for this year. I have definitely felt myself making more joy based choices this week. I ordered a little pocket talisman from Soul Mantras and last December and I keep it in my pocket. You can order your own custom talisman here.
- Part of why I haven’t gotten a ton of crafting in this week is I have been reading a lot. I have pulled out all of my Byron Katie books and have been rereading them. I find them so helpful. If you are interested in living more peacefully, I can’t recommend Katie enough. I would suggest starting with her first book, Loving What Is*.
- We got a coupon in the mail from Imperfect Foods so we’ve been trying them out. I ordered these chocolate bars earlier and we ate them this week. Um, yum! They were delicious, I highly recommend them if you see them anywhere. And chocolate and other tasty groceries delivered to my door? I might be able to get into that.
- That book the chocolate is sitting on is one I bought for my bread machine. It was inexpensive and the recipes are all good. I have been slowly working through the first chapter which is all basic breads. I think we only have dark rye bread and a pumpernickel left to try and then I’ll move on to the next chapter, which is spice and herb breads. My favorite part of the book is that it isn’t like all the recipe websites I find on Pinterest that have ads jumping in my face as I try and figure out what ingredients I need!! It is so worth the $6 I paid to save my mental health. You can find the book here*.
- I’ve broken my normal Jack Johnson listening habit in the car and have been listening to Death Cab For Cutie this week. What a flashback to high school! I have been enjoying the essentials playlist on Apple Music.
- I’ll end the week with this crazy puppy. She knocked her little house over and was jumping all around in it. I pulled out my camera just in time to capture her popping out. She will be 2 years old in a month, but she very much is still a crazy puppy!
What were the highlights from your week? I would love if you leave me a comment and let me know!
Happy Making-
