Happy Mario day! That’s what my kids have decided today is thanks to Nintendo. Mar.10 can be read as Mario, apparently. Personally, I’m more excited about Pi Day next Tuesday (You know that one, right math nerd friends? 3/14 is Pi day since it is the first numbers of Pi, 3.14). I might make a homemade pie for it! Anyway, here are some highlights from this week:
- I try to get in and volunteer in my younger son’s classroom on Thursdays. Yesterday the 8 and 9 year old girls offered to give me a sparkle kitty face tattoo. I of course said yes, how could you not? Also, it is kind of difficult to take a picture of your dominant hand while in your car.
- This guy had a birthday over the weekend! His teacher sent me this photo first thing on Sunday morning and it totally made my day. He doesn’t look very happy, but I think he’s adorable. He turned 9, which I can hardly believe. It is his last year of single digits!
- I attempted to make a birthday cake for Maverick on Saturday. This is how it came out. Normally baking is totally my thing and I do great with it, but I think I am so used to dumping hardy breads from bread pans and my bread machine bucket that I dumped a little too hard on this one. So, I still owe him a birthday cake. Maybe he will accept a pie on Pi day?
- And I’ll leave you with this lady. I swear every time I look at Juniper she is looking at me like this. This face means that she wants something that I generally can’t figure out, and she will stare at me like this until I get it figured out. Often there is grumble barking involved when I get wrong whatever she wants. She’s very demanding…..
How was your week? Leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you!
Happy Making-
