Hi friends! We generally call Fridays FriYays in our house. We do pizza and movie night as a family every Friday, which is a tradition I grew up with in my house and have loved passing on to my kiddos, which makes Friday a day to look forward to. And, one of my kids only has a half day of school every Friday and gets out at noon. And, the kids get extra screen time on Fridays as long as every one follows the family rules the rest of the week, which my kids love because they get more than their normal hour at a time to do bigger builds in Minecraft. Fridays really are FriYays around here!

So, because Fridays are always fun days in our house, I thought it would be a great idea to do a round up of the most fun and notable things from the week every Friday!

• Mr Danger and I have been trying to get the dogs out for a fun walk every day after we drop the kids at school and before we go to work. This week was a challenge because I had at least one kid home sick Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but we walked at Semiahmoo today, and it was gorgeous. We had not walked here in years and I forgot how much I love it. Since I haven’t introduced the girls here yet, the white one on the left is Juniper, and the black one on the right is Coco. Juniper (Junie) is a Maltese/Poodle/Shih Tzu mix and is 10lbs, and Coco is a toy poodle and weighs under 8lbs.

• There was lots of movie watching with sick kids home this week and we watched the Speed Cuber documentary on Netflix. My oldest, P, LOVES Rubiks cubes and has decided he wants to get into speed cubing now. We thought he had a speed cube, but he apparently did not and after some research he decided on this speed cube* and we ordered it for him.

• After halfheartedly trying since Spring 2021, I got my first (I think) successful sourdough starter going this week. This is me attempting my first Leaven last night and we are going to try homemade sourdough crust pizza for movie night tonight. I will let you know how it goes!

• I ordered this pizza stone set* in anticipation of sourdough pizza movie night tonight.

• Mr Danger took Coco to work yesterday and took this adorable photo that I couldn’t help but share.

Ok friends, I think that is a good start for my first FriYay post! I am off to meet the school bus and try my hand at my first loaf of homemade sourdough!
